Shawna (Robertson) Aakre

Farm Broadcaster, American Ag Network.

Raised on a family farm near Dawson, Minnesota, Shawna (Robertson) Aakre recently joined the American Ag Network to continue spreading the message about an industry and lifestyle she’s passionate about…agriculture.

Collecting an impressive list of awards and recognition along the way, Shawna earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Agriculture Communications at North Dakota State University in 2010 – after only three and a half years of secondary education.  She also added two minor degrees in Mass Communications, Broadcast and Journalism and in Public Relations and Advertising.

Shawna’s early involvement in the agricultural community has been diverse.  From early involvement in the FFA to student leadership positions within the Agriculture Future of America organization, Shawna’s communication skills and knowledge continue to grow by leaps and bounds.  With writing, social media, and public speaking already under her belt, Shawna is tackling her next step to spread the word about agriculture…farm broadcasting.  We’re very proud to include her on The American Ag Network team.

Shawna is a voting member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting.
