The Congressional Western Caucus has named Congresswoman Kristi Noem (R-SD) the new Communications Chairman of the caucus. The Communications Chairman serves as the spokesperson for the caucus and helps formulate and implement the overall communications strategy.
“I would like to thank Congresswoman Noem for taking on this leadership position with the Congressional Western Caucus. Kristi is a principled leader who understands the challenges facing the West. She has been a strong advocate for her constituents in South Dakota and she will be a great asset to the caucus as we communicate our solutions to the Obama Administration’s War on Western Jobs. I look forward to working with her to communicate our message of protecting private property, strengthening local control, increasing energy independence and promoting economic growth and jobs,” said Congressional Western Caucus Chairman Steve Pearce.
“We have unique issues confronting the West, but with the right policies in place we can do our part to create jobs and lessen our dependence on foreign energy. I look forward to working with Chairman Pearce and the Congressional Western Caucus to ensure the issues important to the West have a strong voice in Congress,” said Noem.
