North Dakota Junior Beef Expo set, entry deadline approaches

Mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday, June 25 – 26 and plan on coming up to the North Dakota Junior Beef Expo (NDJBE) in Williston, ND. This fun filled multi-breed field day event is open to all juniors 21 and younger.

Saturday’s activities begin with registration at noon followed by the steer weigh-in, where exhibitors will get a chance to learn more about what scan numbers mean, and how they relate to profitability.

Exhibitors will also enjoy not only a pizza party, but also all the fun and games that go along with it, including the popular Ag Olympics which combines the well-known sporting event with an agricultural twist. The 17th annual NDJBE also is unveiling a brand new event, Cattlemen’s Jeopardy, with teams using their knowledge to compete for prizes as well as get to know their fellow competitors.

The event is held in conjunction with the Western Star Regional Junior Heifer Classic held June 24 – 25. Both shows are sanctioned events of the North Dakota Junior Point Show Association.

For more information, contact the NDJBE show coordinator Emily Dalzell at (701) 223-2522 or NDJBE entry forms are available at, and are due June 1.
