Noem forms bipartisan Missouri Flood Working Group

Representative Kristi Noem (R-SD) announced the formation of a bipartisan Missouri River flood working group yesterday.  Rep. Noem, along with 15 of her House colleagues, will use the new group to hold meetings and press the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for more information and answers about the historic flooding along the Missouri River this year.

“When the waters recede, we are going to need some straight answers from the Corps.  This is a diverse group of lawmakers from upstream and downstream, but our desire to make sure the devastating flooding we are seeing this year doesn’t repeat itself brings us together,” said Noem.

The first meeting of the group will occur in the next few weeks.
