ND Farmers Union hosts meeting, inviting discussion on 2012 farm bill

North Dakota Farmers Union is hosting information meetings on the 2012 farm bill throughout the state next week.

With budget strings pulled tight on Capitol Hill, NDFU President Robert Carlson says there are two areas of the next farm bill that his group would like to see protected and strengthened.

The importance of those programs is highlighted in a challenging year – like the year producers are seeing this season. Carlson says State and Congressional representatives will take part in the forums.

Panelists at the forums will share their insight about what they foresee is going to happen with the next farm bill, followed by a question and answer session.

The forums will be held at six different locations – you can find a forum near you on the NDFU website – www.ndfu.org – or click Here.
