AFBF President Stallman talks about US Farmers and Ranchers Alliance Food Dialogues

It’s been about a week since the US Farmers and Ranchers Alliance hosted a number of Food Dialogue town hall meetings across the country to start a discussion between agriculture and consumers when it comes to something we all have in common…food. Farm Broadcaster Rusty Halvorson spoke with Bob Stallman, AFBF President and Chairman of the US Farmers and Ranchers Alliance, about the Food Dialouges.

While farmers and ranchers overwhelmingly share the same values as consumers, 42 percent of consumers say the U.S. is heading off on the wrong track in the way we produce food, 39 percent say we’re heading in the right direction and 19 percent did not know. These numbers are according to the results of a survey the USFRA conducted in July/August. Nationwide, they surveyed 2,417 consumers and 1,0002 farmers and ranchers.
