Late yesterday Representative Kristi Noem was awarded the “Fueling Growth” Award from Growth Energy. This award serves to recognize Rep. Noem’s leadership in fostering our country’s energy independence through the production and use of ethanol as an American energy source. American ethanol creates jobs, cleans the air and strengthens national security.
“We are grateful for the leadership and wisdom of Rep. Noem,” said Tom Buis, Growth Energy’s CEO. “This award serves as a reminder of our gratitude, and our continuing efforts to make this country’s national security and economic security stronger through a robust and viable alternative, renewable fuels industry.”
“I am honored to accept this award. Both as a South Dakota farmer and as a policy maker, I have seen the benefits the ethanol industry has had on our state’s economy,” said Rep. Noem. “Ethanol provides jobs and reduces our dependence on foreign oil. Moving forward, I will continue to support ethanol as part of an all-of-the-above plan for American energy independence.”
