We spoke with Jim Pollack at the National Biodiesel Board booth during Trade Talk at the National Association of Farm Broadcasting convention in Kansas City. Pollack has been contracted through the United Soybean Board to conduct an extensive life-cycle study of soybeans and products deriving from the crop. He says that we have enough farmland in the United States to raise a portion of our fuel from crops, as well as from conventional sources, without disturbing food supply.
