Bake and Take Day, celebrated on the 4th Saturday of March, is sponsored by the North Dakota Wheat Commission. This year it is celebrated on March 24th and the NDWC encourages people to surprise others with a freshly baked food.
For nearly 40 years grower organizations in wheat producing states have been promoting baking-with-wheat projects. Last year nearly 4,000 Bake and Take recipes were distributed to 4-H clubs, church groups, school groups and individuals throughout North Dakota that wanted to participate.
