MN Viking mascot “Viktor” to visit the NDWS

Dairy farmers have invited Viktor, the Minnesota Vikings mascot, to help commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the North Dakota Winter Show to meet fans. Viktor will be appearing at the Winter Show from 1-3 p.m., Thursday, March 8, near the Midwest Dairy Association milkshake stand to pose for photos and sign autographs.

The local dairy farmers have several other fun activities planned on March 8th, which has been deemed Midwest Dairy Day,  including a milking contest, appearances by North Dakota Dairy Princess, Rachael Rott, and more. Show-goers can also pick up free recipe brochures and chat with dairy farmers about the hard work and dedication it takes to produce the products we enjoy every day.

Viktor’s connection to North Dakota Dairy farmers stems from Midwest Dairy Association’s partnership with the National Football League to support Fuel Up to Play 60, an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by National Dairy Council (NDC) and National Football League (NFL), with additional partnership support from U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Currently, there are over 36 million students in 70,000 schools nationwide involved with the Fuel Up to Play 60 program.
