2012 Commodity Classic: CASE IH Steiger talks about SCR technology with 600 horsepower tractor

At the 2012 Commodity Classic in Nashville, Tennessee last week, Farm Director Rusty Halvorson visited with Mitch Kaiser of Case IH. Kaiser is the Steiger Tractor Marketing Manager for Case IH.

During their visit, Kaiser spoke about the new SCR technology for the Tier 4 emissions standards. He said they now have over 10 thousand tractors out in the field with their new efficiency in fuel and that more power is coming through the new tractor mechanically, instead of pulling more power from hydraulics.

He said some really exciting news is that they have a 600 horsepower quad track and a wheel tractor now available. Kaiser says it is the “biggest, highest horse production tractor every built.”
