Grain futures ended Thursday’s session a mixed bag. Corn, the lone light with cent gains through the complex. Soybeans saw 3-4 cent losses in the two nearby contracts. Wheat futures lost footing today with 5-6 cents to the red in the three exchanges.
Hog futures gained back only a bit of what was lost on Wednesday’s session. December lean hogs up 20 cents at $60.65 cwt. Feeders saw triple-digit losses on Thursday with the January contract $1.47 in the red at $142.60.
The Cattle on Feed report is scheduled for release at 3 p.m. ET Friday. Analysts’ Estimates for the November USDA Cattle-On-Feed report: On-feed Nov. 1 at an average estimate of 101.4 head, with analysts, range estimates of 98.2-102.5. Placements in Oct. 112.3, with a range of 96.2-199.0. Marketed in the month of October had an average estimate of 99.6, with a range of 99.3-100.1. Again, the report comes out on Friday.
