Our newest weekly program, “Eye on Extension,” is focused on getting the latest education and research information from extension agents and Agriculture and Natural Resources experts. We constantly strive to find resources and content that can provide farmers and ranchers the solutions and information they need to make informed decisions about their operations. To kick things off, farm broadcaster Jessica Benson speaks with Dr. Hans Kandel, the Extension Agronomist for Broadleaf Crops in the Department of Plant Sciences at North Dakota State University. Topics discussed include growing crops out of frost damage, heat stress, what to consider when replanting, iron deficiency, signs of chlorosis and what the presence of nodules – or lack thereof – could mean for your crop.
