We saw a lot of profit taking and technical selling on the day Thursday. December corn and November soybeans closed lower Thursday but were well off their lows as it remained difficult to find significant rain in the forecast. September Minneapolis wheat recovered from being down 26 3/4 cents earlier and finished up 6 1/4 cents.
Livestock were mixed with cattle higher amid lower grain prices. Hogs were under pressure as the trade was hoping to see China a buyer in the weekly export sales report.
