Closing Market Report- 3/25/22- Late Session Buying Boosts the Grain Markets

Following the Thursday meeting in Brussels between the U.S., EU and NATO leadership, other than unity on condemnation of the Russian invasion, there was little in the way of concrete action to add additional sanctions. Grain and soy markets traded in a more subdued fashion early Friday before buyers stepped up to rally both to a higher finish, with wheat leading the way. It’ll be interesting to see what the headlines are like over the weekend and how they plays into the Sunday night open.

Lean hogs had another impressive day with triple digit strength while cattle were mixed ahead of the Cattle on Feed report. That report showed higher cattle on feed, higher placements and higher marketings.
