Ranchers Fighting Losses As Calving Season Continues

(Undated)  —  Ranchers are fighting the weather and power outages as calving season continues.  After two blizzards in two weeks, the National Agricultural Statistic Service says calving season is only two-thirds finished.  The weekly crop report released yesterday shows 24-percent of ranchers are experiencing heavy calf death losses, up from five-percent two weeks ago.  The Stockmen’s Association and its Foundation are launching the Hope after Haley Disaster Relief Fund with an initial contribution of 40-thousand dollars.
