One of South Dakota’s agriculture commodity organizations has given itself a new name, but it’ll sound familiar to many people. Caren Assman is the Executive Director of the former S.D. Wheat Incorporated group, which is now going by South Dakota Wheat Growers Association.
Assman says the name changed, but the organization’s mission remains the same.
Assman says members will be able to sign up to win a grain analyzer worth around $11,500.
Assman says she will also have information about the state and national wheat yield contest available for farmers attending their district meetings.
