The SDCA and the Feeder Council invite you to join us July 19-20 for the Feedlot Tours. The tours have been planned by the SDCA’s Feeder Council as well as Dr. Warren Rusche of South Dakota State University. The Feeder Council focuses on the special interests of feeders – particularly environmental regulations. The focus of the tour is to showcase a variety of cattle feeding facilities and practices to fellow cattle feeders and producers. Participants will experience first-hand that cattle can be successfully fed in South Dakota. Feedlots selected for the tour represent a cross-section of housing systems and management strategies. |
