Following Tuesday’s donnybrook to the downside, one would have thought Wednesday’s early bounce might be the beginning of a much-needed correction. That was not the case, as early strength in grain and soy markets was short-lived and the bearish onslaught continued. However, a late-day recovery sent corn, soybeans and meal higher for the day, while all three wheat markets closed lower in wide-ranging trade. Hogs again led to the upside in the protein sector with triple digit strength while cattle followed higher as well.
