It was another week of falling condition ratings for both corn and soybeans according to this week’s USDA NASS Weekly Crop Progress report. Nationwide, corn condition is 64% good to excellent which is down three points from last week and equal now to one year ago. Soybeans nationwide are 63% good to excellent which is down two points from last week but above last year’s 59% rating for this time of year. Spring wheat condition 66% good to excellent; up seven points from last week and well above the 16% good to excellent rating seen last year at this time. Winter wheat harvest is now 54% complete nationwide.
