North Dakota Republican Senator Kevin Cramer sat down with Farm and Ranch Director Jesse Allen to discuss a wide range of agricultural issues pertaining to the U.S. and North Dakota. They start their conversation discussing the Fufeng Group land purchase near the Grand Forks Air Force Base for a corn wet mill plant. Cramer believes it is a national security and food security issue and has asked for a review of the purchase by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States along with Senator John Hoeven (R-ND) and Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL). They have been joined by North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum as well.
