Weekly Crop Progress Report- 7/25/22- Corn Condition Falls Slightly Nationwide

On this week’s USDA Crop Progress Report, we saw nationwide corn condition ratings fall slightly to 61% good to excellent. That is down from 64% last week with Iowa showing 80% good to excellent. North Dakota’s corn crop is at 74% good to excellent, South Dakota at 65% good to excellent and Minnesota at 63% good to excellent. On the flip side, 31% of both the Kansas and Kentucky corn crop is in poor to very poor condition. North Carolina stands at 42% poor to very poor.

Nationwide, soybean condition rated 59% good to excellent. That is down from last week’s 61% good to excellent rating. Soybeans in Iowa are rated at 75% good to excellent, Minnesota at 62% good to excellent, North Dakota at 62% good to excellent and South Dakota at 64% good to excellent. Missouri’s soybeans crop is 20% poor to very poor among other states in the southeast with low ratings including Kentucky, Tennessee and even parts of Indiana with poor soybeans.

Spring wheat nationwide is 68% good to excellent, down from 71% last week. North Dakota stands at 78% good to excellent with Minnesota at 72% good to excellent as of Sunday.
