(Bismarck, ND) — The first bill introduced by one new lawmaker would create a definition for milk in the Century code. Representative Dawson Holle is a dairy farmer and drafted the bill, which defines milk as coming from a “healthy four-legged hooved animal.” The bill also includes definitions for dairy products and the places that produce them. Holle says the bill doesn’t require companies to rebrand products such as almond milk. A committee is considering the bill.
