Closing Market Report 2/14/23- Mostly Red for Valentine’s Day in Grains and Livestock

It was a mixed to lower day on Tuesday for Valentine’s Day with grains and most livestock contracts lower or close to unchanged. Corn, soybeans and wheat markets largely gave up early gains when the dust settled. The January Consumer Price Index came out Tuesday morning and had some impact on outside markets and commodities but it was largely a non-factor. Cattle traded slightly lower while hogs found some buying in deferred months.
