(WASHINGTON D.C.)- On Friday, USDA released the April Cattle on Feed report which showed cattle and calves on feed down 4% as of April 1st.
The number came in at 11.6 million head which was down from April 2022. Marketings and placements were both down 1% on this month’s report. Marketings were at 1.98 million head with placements at 1.99 million head.
