Corn Sales Seen in Weekly Export Sales Report

(WASHINGTON D.C.)– On this week’s Weekly Export Sales report form USDA, we saw some corn and soybean sales activity while old crop wheat was a net reduction.

We sold 186,700 MT of old crop corn and 312,600 MT of new crop corn for the week ended May 25th. Mexico was the top buyer of both old and new crop corn. Old crop soybean sales were 123,400 MT, which was up seven percent from last week. New crop soybean sales were 301,000 MT. Indonesia was the top old crop buyer while China was the top new crop soybean buyer for the week.

Wheat saw net sales reductions of 210,500 MT for old crop, which was a marketing year low. New crop wheat saw sales of 466,500 MT on the week. On the protein side we saw beef export sales of 18,100 MT while pork sales were 22,600 MT. Japan was the top beef buyer while Mexico was the top pork buyer for the week.
