(Bismarck, ND) — Meat and poultry processors throughout North Dakota are receiving millions of dollars in funding. The money is being provided by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program. Four entities received 41-million dollars, with the money being used to expand business ventures and opportunities, as well as support local producers. Erin Oban, the North Dakota Director for USDA Rural Development says the funding will create “new, stronger, better markets in places like North Dakota.”
