(Washington, DC) — The USDA is confirming an outbreak of avian flu affecting two Minnesota turkey flocks. The agency’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service confirmed the cases in Kandiyohi and Renville counties on Tuesday. The case in Renville County affected over 15-thousand breeder hens. The cases in Kandiyohi County affect nearly 22-thousand hens and about 43-hundred toms. Eighteen commercial poultry farms in Minnesota have been affected by avian flu outbreaks since 2022.
