WELLS – A trip to southern Minnesota isn’t complete without a stop on the farm. For those visiting internationally, visiting a farming operation is the perfect opportunity to plant the seed of soybean knowledge and build relationships.
With soy checkoff support, Faribault County farmer Jeff Ignaszewski is giving a Chinese commodity team an opportunity to see the true value of soybean by hosting the group for a tour of his farm Aug. 22.
“With China’s purchases of U.S.-origin soybeans increasingly being for their proven, better long-term storage than South America-origin soybeans, Jeff’s strong focus on producing very high-quality soybeans on his farm will dovetail well with China soybean buyers’ focus,” said Kim Nill, director of market development with the Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council.
The trade team will visit Ignaszewski’s farm on Thursday, August 22nd.
