NDFB Photo Contest Winners Announced

Bismarck, N.D. – NDFB’s Promotion and Education Committee has announced the 2024 NDFB agriculture photo contest winners. The contest featured three categories: Landscape, Animals, and Lifestyle. Each winner will receive $300.

Jim Bondly from Bottineau, N.D. won the landscape category with a picturesque scene of North Dakota’s landscape illuminated by the soft, golden light of the setting sun.

The winner of the lifestyle category is Hadley Magilke from Towner, N.D. Magilke’s photo portrays an experienced rancher astride his trusted steed, building trust with a less experienced horse.

The winning animal photo is by Juanita Hoff-Benson from Richardton, N.D.  The photo portrays a striking black-and-white portrait capturing the rugged elegance of a Highland cow.

“Photos come in from all across North Dakota, capturing its distinct landscapes and natural charm,” said Jolyn Wasem, Chair of NDFB’s Promotion and Education. “The level of creativity and skill in each entry is nothing short of inspiring.”

Bondly was declared the overall champion among the three winners. NDFB will auction off his photo as a canvas print during the NDFB Annual Meeting in Bismarck. The scholarship live auction will take place on Friday, November 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bismarck Hotel and Conference Center.
