(Jamestown, ND) — Cavendish Farms is moving ahead with plans for a 150-million-dollar expansion project at its Jamestown potato plant. Authorities say the company hopes to break ground in the spring, with plans to replace the facility’s existing fryer, expand storage capacity and create a better working environment for staffers. The project also will encompass a new wastewater-treatment plant outside city limits, as well as an expansion of its packaging facility. Authorities say they hope to limit downtime at the plant to roughly ten days.
