(FARGO, ND) – Longtime and award winning farm broadcaster Susan Littlefield is joining Farm and Ranch Media. She is set to provide on-air and digital reports on agricultural news, markets, weather and more for the American Ag Network along with contributions to other FARM brands including Market Talk and AOA.

Farm and Ranch Media Owner and CEO Lance Knudson says “it is a great honor to announce Susan Littlefield will be joining FARM. Susan is a great addition to our organization, with her years of experience and dedication to the farm and livestock broadcast industry. Susan’s knowledge in this industry will make FARM an even more successful network with her expertise in the broadcasting, digital, political and social media platforms.”

Littlefield, who resides in central Nebraska, has been providing agricultural news, markets and weather information for listeners since 1990. Susan joined the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) in 1996, and has been active in the association holding numerous leadership positions, including National President in 2015. She is a 1994 graduate of University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and has served most recently as Farm Director for KRVN/The Rural Radio Network in Nebraska.

“We are beyond thrilled that Susan is joining our FARM team,” says Jesse Allen, VP of National Ag Content. “I have had the privilege of working alongside Susan in this industry for well over a decade, and she is without a doubt one of the best farm broadcasters and ag communicators I have ever met.”

Upon accepting the position, Littlefield says “I’m thrilled to join the award-winning team at FARM and the American Ag Network, bringing my deep-rooted passion and experience in agriculture to the table, adding to the work already being done by their team to tell the story of those in rural America.”

Breck Von Bank, SVP/GM for FARM, commented “we are thrilled to have Susan join our team. Her broadcasting skills, dedication and well respected position in the ag industry are a great fit for the future growth of our organization.”

Littlefield’s family also farms, raising Columbia sheep for wool and meat along with dairy goats and a small feed lot. Littlefield Family Farms has been raising sheep for more than 50 years. The family takes great pride in showing animals at the state and county fair, which creates yet another touch point for industry outreach. In her spare time Susan is a 4H leader as well as a volunteer firefighter and EMT.

“Not only is she well respected by our industry, but more importantly, she is a trusted and respected voice for farmers and ranchers across the country,” added Allen. “We can’t wait to hit the ground running with her on our team as we continue to tell the story of agriculture each and every day for America’s farmers, ranchers and agribusiness.”
