Over the next week, the heaviest rainfall is expected from eastern Texas through southeastern Kansas, Arkansas, and much of Missouri into Indiana and Ohio, where 1 to 3 inches is likely, with isolated totals reaching 4 inches. Flooding will persist along the lower Ohio and Mississippi Rivers, though the crest is expected to move south through the central Delta. As a result, water levels in the lower Ohio River Valley and northern Delta are likely to begin receding.
