Soybeans 85% Harvested; Corn 71% Harvested

(WASHINGTON D.C.) — On the USDA’s Weekly Crop Progress report out Monday afternoon, it showed that harvest is slowly creeping to the finish line across the country.

As of Sunday, October 29th, it showed corn at 71% harvested and soybeans at 85% harvested nationwide. That is ahead of the five year average for both but slightly behind last year’s pace in corn and soybeans. Wisconsin lags behind in corn harvest at just 35% completed as of Sunday.

Winter wheat planting is at 84% complete with 64% of the crop emerged. Meantime, 47% of the winter wheat crop is rated in good to excellent condition.
