Decent Weekly Export Sales for Soybeans; Low Numbers Again for Corn and Wheat

(WASHINGTON D.C.) — The latest Weekly Export Sales report from USDA showed soybean sales that were alright while corn and wheat sales continue to be low; a sign of the ongoing sluggish demand for U.S. commodities.

For the week ended June 15, 2023, USDA reported an increase of 36,000 metric tons of corn export sales in 2022-23 and an increase of 47,100 mt for 2023-24. Soybeans saw an increase of 457,500 mt for 22-23 and an increase of 168,800 mt for 23-24. Wheat saw an increase of 109,700 mt for 23-24.

Beef net sales for the week were 4% higher than the previous week at 13,300 mt while pork net sales were up 7% from the previous week at 28,700 mt.
