The American Ag Network is a radio, digital and multimedia agriculture news network based in Fargo, ND. We provide daily news, market and ag weather content to affiliate radio stations and listeners across much of the Upper Midwest. Our affiliate stations cover North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Montana, Kansas and Missouri. Jesse Allen

Farm and Ranch Director

Jesse Allen was named Farm and Ranch Director of the American Ag Network in December 2020. He is an award winning broadcaster with over 11 years experience in ag journalism. Previously, he was the Farm Director for KGLO-AM in Mason City, IA and National Farm Format Captain for Alpha Media. Allen is currently the host of Market Talk; a daily syndicated hour long radio show and podcast dedicated to the markets and the latest ag news. Fun fact: he is also a Nashville Recording Artist.

Richard Ristvedt

Farm Broadcaster

Richard Ristvedt is an award-winning agriculture broadcaster. Born and raised in Fargo, ND. Whether it's at a farm show, a demonstration day, or out in the field; he enjoys meeting people in the world of agriculture and the relationships that are built. He also enjoys providing expert market commentary and analysis of the day's trading trends. With a keen eye as to what's important for both farmers and ranchers, he is a trusted source of relevant and timely information. He is also the son of legendary Farm and Ranch Director Larry Ristvedt, who taught him many things throughout the years.

Mike Pearson

Host- Agriculture of America

Mike Pearson is the host of Agriculture of America, heard weekdays across the country. Mike Pearson was born and raised in South Central Iowa, where he grew to love agriculture on his family’s hog and cattle farm. Pearson was born and raised in South Central Iowa, where he grew to love agriculture on his family’s hog and cattle farm. After graduating from Simpson College, Mike moved to Grinnell, Iowa where he had the chance to build his own cow herd in addition to working as an agricultural lender. Over the next 10 years, Mike left the world of finance and entered the world of media. Viewers can find him behind the anchor desk on “This Week In Agribusiness” with Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson, which can be found on RFD TV or hundreds of local stations each weekend.
