Summit Carbon Responds To Noem’s Claims Of Chinese Business

(Pierre, SD) — Summit Carbon Solutions is responding to Governor Noem’s radio comments on its carbon dioxide pipelines. In an interview with KWA — a Watertown radio station — on Monday, Noem made the claim that the company is involved with Chinese business. Noem said that Summit has received a loan from a Chinese ethanol company and investment from a Chinese central bank. Summit Carbon responded that her claims simply aren’t true, saying no contributions from China have been received or solicited. But Summit did secure a 300-million-dollar investment from TPG Rise Climate, according to TPG Rise, which has China-based Silk Road Fund as one of its anchor investors.
