Corn Condition Holds Steady, Soybeans Down Slightly This Week

(FARGO, ND) — The latest Weekly Crop Progress report from USDA showed a somewhat stable corn and soybean crop nationwide for the week ended Sunday, July 23rd, 2023.

Nationwide, corn condition stayed at 57% good to excellent while soybean condition fell slightly to 54% good to excellent. Texas, Kentucky, Kansas and Illinois saw some increases in corn condition while Minnesota, Missouri and Tennessee saw soybean condition declines.

Spring wheat condition nationwide fell two percentage points on the week and now stands at 49% good to excellent as of Sunday. North Dakota’s spring wheat crop stands at 54% good to excellent, Minnesota fell to 74% and South Dakota is at just 29% good to excellent.
