(WASHINGTON D.C.)– Ahead of the 4th of July holiday on Tuesday, USDA released the latest Crop Progress Report for the week ending July 2nd, 2023 and it showed the recent rains helped the corn crop slightly nationwide.
Corn ratings increased 15 up to 51% good to excellent as of Sunday while soybeans fell 1% to now stand at 50% good to excellent and spring wheat condition fell 2% and now stands at 48% good to excellent nationwide.
Corn that was silking nationwide stands at 8% while 24% of soybeans were blooming and 4% of soybeans are setting pods as on Sunday.

North Dakota corn- 62% G/E
North Dakota soybeans- 57% G/E
North Dakota spring wheat- 40% G/E
South Dakota corn- 49% G/E
South Dakota soybeans- 48% G/E
South Dakota spring wheat- 26% G/E
Minnesota corn- 61% G/E
Minnesota soybeans- 64% G/E
Minnesota spring wheat- 63% G/E
Iowa corn- 61% G/E
Iowa soybeans- 53% G/E
Nebraska corn- 49% G/E
Nebraska soybeans- 43% G/E
The winter wheat harvest continues to move along as well at 37% complete as of Sunday.
