EPA Awards $4 Million to North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality to Address Water Pollution

BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, announced the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded $4,067,000 in federal funds to the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ) in nonpoint source implementation grants.

These funds will be distributed through the North Dakota Nonpoint Source Pollution Management Program, which focuses on watersheds with water quality impairments caused by polluted runoff from nonpoint sources. These implementation projects include a variety of structural and non-structural best management practices (BMPs), watershed planning, monitoring, technology demonstrations, and a variety of education and outreach programs.
