Hedging Strategist Joins John Stewart & Associates

John Stewart & Associates is pleased to announce the addition of a hedging strategist to AgMarket.Net®, the  company’s Farm Division.

Kenan Layden is an associated person based out of the Almont, North Dakota office. He grew up on a cow-calf  operation outside of Scranton, ND. Kenan pursued his agricultural interests at North Dakota State University and  obtained bachelor’s degrees in biology and agricultural education before earning a master’s degree in plant breeding  from Iowa State University.

Kenan taught risk-management for agricultural producers, agribusiness fundamentals and applied plant science in  the past at Bismarck State College. He also gained experience as a crop scout during his time at BSC.

Partners of AgMarket.Net®, the farm division of John Stewart & Associates, say Kenan will be an asset to the team  in many ways.

“Kenan spent several years educating young farmers on managing the business side of their operation while also  teaching agronomy, finance, math and even a few livestock courses,” says AgMarket.Net® partner Jacob Burks. “This allows him to not only communicate with producers in a very thorough way but be a great contribution to our  research team.”

John Stewart & Associates is pleased to welcome Layden to its team of brokers.

“His experience on the family’s cattle operation, degrees obtained and knowledge as a crop scout puts Kenan in the unique position to contribute to a diverse array of clients,” says Doug Schultz, chief operating officer of John  Stewart and Associates. “Kenan is exactly the type of young professional we are pleased to have join us. We look  forward to his contribution in the future.”

AgMarket.Net® is the Farm Division of John Stewart and Associates; a forward-thinking agricultural marketing and  consulting firm. JSA is a full-service commodity brokerage firm based out of St. Joseph, MO.
