(Bismarck, ND) — Livestock producers are being reminded about vaccinating their herd against anthrax. The rain and snow melt has washed away dirt and exposed anthrax which is a bacterial disease that is often fatal to sheep and cattle and can spread to humans. The organism has been detected in northwestern Minnesota. The State Department of Agriculture in North Dakota says there have been no anthrax cases reported in the state this year.
