Iowa Celebrates Century Farms

(Des Moines, IA) — Nearly 400 Iowa farm families are celebrating a major milestone this week at the Iowa State Fair. The farms have been owned by the same families for 100 and 150 years respectively. This year 242 Century Farms and 156 Heritage Farms will be recognized. To date, more than 21-thousand Century Farms and 18-hundred Heritage Farms have been recognized in Iowa, since the program began in 1976.
