Recent Rainfall Not Enough To End Drought in ND

(Bismarck, ND) — Despite some thunderstorms over the weekend, a large portion of North Dakota remains in drought. The storms brought the state’s most significant rainfall since June, with most of the rain falling in and around the Fargo area. Despite this, other areas across the state haven’t been as lucky, with only isolated showers developing farther north, none of which produced substantial rainfall. The National Weather Service is continuing to monitor the situation, and will update its drought monitor on Thursday.
