(New Rockford, ND) — A 63-year-old Jamestown man is dead after the crop-spraying plane he was piloting crashed. Shortly after noon on Tuesday, the plane’s tail fin snagged on a power line as the pilot was spraying a sunflower field near New Rockford. The aircraft ended up crashing into a corn field on the east side of Highway 281, and the pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the pilot has not yet been released, and the crash is being investigated by the FAA.
