New Territory Head Named for US & Canada, Syngenta Vegetables Seeds

WOODLAND, CA., USA, Sept. 13, 2023 – Syngenta® Vegetable Seeds is pleased to announce the appointment of Juan Pablo López as Territory Head Vegetable Seeds for the United States and Canada. In this role, López will lead the vegetable business for the company, delivering short and mid-term business targets while building an effective and sustainable, long-term end-to-end business.

“We are excited to welcome Juan Pablo to his new role and for him to bring his considerable talent, knowledge and experience to our U.S. and Canadian Syngenta Vegetable Seeds business,” says Javier Martinez-Cabrera, head, Americas Vegetable Seeds for Syngenta.

López, who will relocate from Switzerland to California to assume his new role, joined Syngenta in 2007 as key account manager in Ecuador. He has held several marketing and commercial roles in Crop Protection, successfully creating a career with more than 20 years of experience in the agricultural sector.

For nearly 17 years at Syngenta, he has contributed to the growth of the Americas, including Mexico and other Global agricultural sectors. He holds two masters’ degrees from the European School of Business, and two bachelor’s degrees from Universidad San Francisco de Quito.

López’s most recent position was Global Product Manager, Insect Control for Syngenta, where he was instrumental in driving the global strategy for the TYMIRIUM® technology, maximizing the product life cycle of Syngenta pyrethroids, and developing crossover initiatives with Biologicals and Seedcare.

“This is a great opportunity, and I look forward to working with our Syngenta Vegetable Seeds teams and customers to continue advancing this important area of our business,” says López.
