NDFB’s Promotion and Education Committee has announced the 2023 NDFB agriculture photo contest recipients. The contest featured three categories: Landscape, Animals, and Lifestyle. Each winner will receive $300.
Blaine Steiger from Cavalier, N.D. won the landscape category with a photo of beet harvest taking place in the evening light.
The winner of the lifestyle category is Bailey Hawbaker from Stanley, N.D. Hawbaker’s photo captures a flock of birds surrounding a tractor with the North Dakota sky in the backdrop.
The winning animal photo is by Karena Duvall from Lisbon, N.D. The image depicts the winds of North Dakota sweeping across the terrain, gently ruffling the fur of a majestic highlander cow.
“We receive photographs from all corners of North Dakota, highlighting its distinctive scenery and natural beauty,” expressed Jolyn Wasem, Chair of NDFB’s Promotion and Education. “I am genuinely inspired by the remarkable talent displayed in every submission.”
Duvall was declared the overall champion among the three winners. NDFB will auction off her photo as a canvas print during the NDFB Annual Meeting in Fargo.
