Pork Donation To Help Feed South Dakotans

(Pierre, SD) — The pork company Pipestone located in Minnesota is donating 78-thousand pounds of pork to Feeding South Dakota. It’s the largest pork donation ever received by the nonprofit. Families utilizing the organization’s mobile food distribution program this month will receive the meat along with other holiday food items. The remaining pork will go to food pantries and hot meal sites. Lori Dykstra, CEO of Feeding South Dakota, said it comes as a relief to be providing a quality product for the holiday season.
