(Wentworth, SD) — A Ree Heights boy is back home with a national stock show award named after his late father. Thirteen-year-old Croix Reimann who this year’s best market steer at the National Western Stock Show in Denver. His father, Nick Reimann, died in a plane crash in 2014. The National Western Stock Show named a traveling trophy after Nick a year later. Croix says showing cattle is a rite of passage for a young farmer and he’s proud to carry on his father’s legacy.
