WASHINGTON – The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) today announced the winners of its 2024 Safety Awards. These annual awards honor the efforts of CRA member company facilities around the country in maintaining an injury-free workplace and prioritizing safety documentation.
Ensuring industry safety remains of utmost importance for CRA and its members. Safety not only ensures the protection of industry employees but also extends to the community living near CRA member’s production facilities.

These awards not only acknowledge the exceptional achievements of our members but also underscore the critical significance of safety standards across the entire industry,” said John Bode, CEO of the Corn Refiners Association. “A safe workplace is vital to improving the lives of our employees, maintaining product quality, and ensuring operational reliability. Most importantly, proper safety protocols help ensure that everyone returns home to their loved ones at the end of each workday.”
The award categories include the following:
CRA Incident Rate Excellence Award: Recognizes plants demonstrating exceptional safety performance for the calendar year, marked by an employee total recordable incident rate of 1.0 or less, absence of employee lost workday cases involving days away from work, and no workplace fatalities involving either employees or non-employees.
